LARA FISCHER GODFREY
ABOUT ME
Borned and raised in France, Paris, I was always drowned to design. By following my mother, who is an interior designer, to her clients' projects, I started developing my interest for architecture and interior design at a very young age. Living in Paris offers a constant presence of art that inspires my designs every day. My love for travelling was underlined when I moved to the United States in 2013 to start my bachelor of Architecture in Savannah, Georgia. Since then, I met my husband Conner, we adopted our cat Woody and then our 2 dogs, Akela and Zazu. We lived in Denver, Colorado until July 2024 when we left Denver in our truck and travel trailer to explore the United States and Canada.
My education and
work experiences
My design phylosophie
I completed my Bachelor of Architecture at SCAD, gained professional experience working at GLA (Geheber Lewis Associates, Atlanta, GA), before to move to New York City where I obtained my Master of Architecture at the New School, Parsons. I then worked as a junior designer at designATplay, a home remodeling firm in Colorado Springs, followed by 9 months as a design consultant at RH (Restoration Hardware). In November 2021 I started working at the SmithGroup as an Architectural Designer where I worked until February 2024. I then took the position of interior designer at Chuze Fitness.
From my school projects to clients' projects, my designs have been defined by a balanced of straight and curved lines, elegance and purpose. I have for goal to create comfortable, suitable and stimulating spaces for the users, to ensure that the architecture serves their goal as well as being beautiful, without forgetting the location, the site and underline its advantages. I am highly passionate about helping others through design and architecture, not just by influencing their lives with it, but also building for communities in need.
